1 oz IXÁ Silver Tequila 1 oz, Greenbar POPPY amaro, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 oz simple syrup
Shake & strain into glass and garnish with lemon wedge

This tequila balances the jammy flavor of ripe agave with the caramel and spices produced during nearly 1 year of aging. The secret lies in making a sip worthy silver tequila and then in aging in both new toasted oak and rye whiskey barrels.

Yes, we’ve heard people sound out each letter: I.X.A. or try to bray Ixá like a donkey. We don’t mind, so long as you’re comfortable: just be sure to ask for IXÁ Tequila by name.
MAGIC WATER
IXÁ Tequila is made with fully-matured organic agave plants and traditional techniques which are becoming increasingly rare — like slow, clay oven steaming, and fermenting & distilling with agave fibers. All this to produce a tequila worthy of the gods.
SOUTH OF THE BORDER
To be classed as a tequila, this agave spirit must be made in a designated zone in Mexico. IXÁ Tequila is the only one of Greenbar Distillery’s spirits not made in the City of Angels. Instead Melkon Khosrovian, spirits maker, heads over the border and personally ensures every element is made to specification.

Tequila fact: Original tequila makers relied on donkeys to bring agave piñas from the field to the distillery and to pull the heavy round stones to crush the cooked agave. While Greenbar Distillery doesn’t rely on donkey power, we respect the traditions that have made tequila one of the most popular spirits in the world and the margarita the most popular cocktail in Los Angeles.
